7 minute Sundays: Literary and performing arts series is an event hosted once a month at The Arts @ Jefferson Heights Apartments Theater located at 8939 Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge, LA.
Each month, local and regional artists working in various literary genres and community education and arts outreach are invited to participate, and friends and family are welcome to come out and witness (although seating is limited). Each presenter has a minimum of 7 minutes to share their work-- additionally, they are encouraged to bring their books, CDs, etc. to sell at the close of each event.
Every 7 Minute Sundays has free food, good company, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere! If you decide to come out, you can bring a poem you'd like to share on the open mic, come with discussion points about what you've witnessed in the world around you, or just bring your lovely self!
